Seeds are germinated and were imported from Brazil. These will sprout in 30 days after planting, and should be sown in a substrate made of 40% native soil, 20% sand, and 40% compost. This tree grows best in 50% shade. The fruits are red-green-purple and have a great sweetness and flavor. Within the first 8-9 months these trees should grow 30cm. Seeds will be shipped in humid vermiculite. If you sow these trees in the ground later, it is recommended to space them 5m apart. Also, make 50cm holes in diameter and depth. Prepare the soil 2 months in advance of planting by adding 1kg of limestone, 1kg of ash, and 6 shovels of compost. If you plant them in the ground make sure there are enough trees around to supply them with some shade. These trees are very ornamental.
