Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a newly discovered Eugenia from the Cerrado region. The plant will start to produce fruit young, when the plant is only 1-2 feet tall. This plant has been found as tall as 8 meters in their native region. The fruit has a yellow-green skin with a yellow pulp. It does have a decent sized seed, but also a good amount of flesh. The fruit is reported to taste like a really sweet peach, with also a hint of a pleasant sour taste. The fruit is very delicate once ripe, so it would have to be eaten off the plant or made into a juice. This is the first time this has been offered in America. It is very rare even in Brazil. Seeds will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
