This is a very rare species of Eugenia found in the Atlantic forest understory in the state of Alagoas, in northeastern Brazil. it produces a 1-2 seeded yellow/orange slightly wrinkled fruit, with a good about of flesh that easily breaks away from the seed. The fruit is eaten out of hand with the skin, and is juicy, slightly sweet, and slighty sour. It grows as a tree/shurb, up tp 3-5 meters tall. Should be able to be kept in containers. Seeds are viable and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
