Species was imported from Brazil. This species has been officially recorded as of 2023. Originally, it went by the name, Eugenia Arenosa. Until now, it was assumed that this Eugenia could no longer be found in nature, and only existed among a few collectors. Now it has been rediscovered in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. It was found growing in sandy soils, it should be grown in deep containers with good drainage. It is a great tasting fruit, eaten out hand. It is said to taste sweet, with a nice balance of sourness. Seeds are limited, and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
