Eugenia Beaurepaireana is an evergreen shrub or tree. It is a medium-sized tree with an elongated crown, reaching 4 to 6 m when cultivated, reaching 20 m in the middle of the forest. The young branches are brown, sericeous to short-velutine. The leaves are obovate, elliptical, rarely narrow elliptical, 3 to 13.5 cm long by 1.5 to 5 cm wide. The flower has 4 lobes (cutouts) in the calyx, with a spitting, acute or rounded apex; petals are white, obovate to spatulate, apex rounded, 3 to 6 mm long. The fruit is globose to elliptical, orange when ripe, 1.5 to 4.5 cm in diameter, velutinous, prominent glands visible as warts when the fruit is very hairy; the pulp is juicy, thick, and sweet. These have been one of the most sought-after Eugenia species for collectors in the last year or so.
