It is found in the humid forest and other lowlands of the Pacific slope, in well-drained soils, this palm is said to be found generally below 200 m altitude and up to 500 m . The fleshy fleshy pulp of the fruit of this palm is an important source of food for wildlife in its native range. The fruit is edible, as well as the seeds and buds, and from what i could find online people seem to enjoy it. The tree is also used to make crafts such as beds and baskets, leading it to be a pretty rare tree to find out in the wild. Seeds are very fresh and will be shipped in vermiculite. Germinating seeds will be shipped first.
