Annona aff Pittieri
This is a very rare Annona native to the Colombian Orinoquia. The Orinoquía region is one of the six natural regions of Colombia that belongs to the Orinoco River watershed. It is also known colloquially as the Eastern Plains from the Spanish Llanos Orientales. The region covers most of the area of the departments of Meta, Arauca, Casanare and Vichada. This tree can grow up to 5 meters high, its fruits are round, yellow when ripe, and highly desired by the fauna of the region. The flavor of the fruit is sweet and very palatable. Only a hand full of these trees have been found, and the sources in Colombia believe this is an Annona worth being cultivated. Seeds are fresh and viable, will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
