This is a Jaboticaba Hybrid created on a farm in Taiwan. The tree seems to have some cross of either red hybrid or scarlet. The fruits are smooth, and a slight oval shape. The fruits contain usually 1 or 2 seeds, but more often than not the seeds are aborted, so some fruits will be practically seedless. As you can see in the photos, it appears that anthocyanins seep into the pulp, creating purple streaks. The fruit is very delicious, and said by the farmer to be one of the best quality Jaboticabas that he has on his farm. Seeds are viable and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
