Seeds were imported from Brazil. Native to the Amazon region, the mari-marior ingá mari (Cassia leiandra) is known for its gastronomic possibilities, being found in several regional fairs. With its pulp it is possible to produce juices, creams, ice cream, mayonnaise, among other spices. This species, which belongs to the Fabaceae (Leguminosae) family , also has several nutritional values, being rich in vitamin C. Its pulp is in the form of a 'tablet' and is generally used in culinary recipes. In this context, the spice has several forms of applicability. Found in the Lower Amazon region and the Solimões River, the plant is born in the water and reproduces during the flood period, so its commercialization takes place between the months of April and June. On the outside it has a green color, and its skin can reach between 40 and 80 centimeters in length, but the unusual thing is inside the fruit. With pits that measure around 65 cm, it is possible to find up to 120 seeds, which are tablet-shaped and have a bittersweet taste. Its fruits are born on deciduous trees and are present in floodplains. Generally, its flowers are for ornamental use. Seeds are viable and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
