Eugenia sp Cereja Paulista - Paulista Cherry
Seeds were imported from Brazil and most are Germinated already. A rare, almost unknown variety of Eugenia, which was previously included in the Calycorectes genus. Native to the Atlantic Forest, it is at risk of becoming extinct due to its sparse distribution, even before it was better known and properly classified. It produces a large quantity of fruit, and despite having very little pulp, its flavor is quite pleasant. Small tree, no more than 4 or 5 meters tall. An excellent option for urban landscaping, as its fruits attract birds. This tree should be included in reforestation projects whenever possible. Easy to grow, it should be planted in full sun or partial shade. It likes fertile, moist soil with good drainage. Seedlings begin to bear fruit 2 to 3 years after planting.
