Eugenia Langsdorffii - GERMINATED
This is the smallest Eugenia specie ever recorded, only growing to a few inches off the ground. It was found in the Cerrado in Brazil but is not as hard to grow as some of the other species found in this region. It is a very ornamental plant, that can be easily grown in a container due to its small size. I have successfully grown multiple in the same pot, and that is how I will continue to grow them in my collection. The plant produces a small green fruit, that has a taste like an avocado. This is another Eugenia that has been very popular in recent years, but not many plants or seeds have been sold. I recommend purchasing and planting multiple seeds at once in the same large container. Consider adding more sand and/or perlite to you mix, and do not over water. These seeds are germinating, and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
