Some botanists classify it as just a variety of Campomanesia guaviroba, but other collectors believe it is a new species. It is small in size and bears fruit very early, at Sitio Frutas Raras the plant began producing 18 months after planting. It is recommended to grow in Containers. The fruits ripen to a nice red color, and fruits are eaten out of hand. Seeds are viable and started to germinate. Will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
