Psidium sp Cambui Preto
Quantity: 1 plant or 3 plants
Container: 4X4X6 Container
Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a dwarf species growing only to 2 meters or 6 feet in height. It should be a great one for container growers. It was found growing in sandy soils in the Caatinga biome in Bahia Brazil. It grows as a shrub, and fruits in abundance. The fruits are small red/black berries when fully ripe. They taste sweet and have a good amount of pulp since the seeds are so small. the original source thought this was a Myrciaria, and we sold the seeds as "Myrciaria sp Cambui Preto". After growing out the seedling and sharing photos with other growers, the original collector, and other seed hunters, we are all agreed that this is indeed a guava. This makes it very special, as it is the first guava specie anyone has found that is black when ripe.
One plant is shipped per container. The plants photographed are similar to the one you will receive. The largest plants will be shipped out first.
