Seeds were originally imported from Brazil. This is a tree found recently that produces fruits similar to Eugenia laranja Rugosa. These fruits, and the tree itself, is much much larger. The seeds are 4x the size of the normal laranja Rugosa. The fruits are orange and wrinkled, and the tree found was over 20ft tall. This was in the states of Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais and possibly in the extreme south of Bahia. This is part of 3 wrinkled orange Eugenia species in this region. The three species in this group consist of the following -

Eugenia sp Amarela Gigante
Eugenia sp Enrugada
The one you are buying now is a good sized plant is Eugenia sp Enrugada. This has been sold by me as seeds named Eugenia aff Laranja Rugosa, and by others online as Eugenia sp. "Amarela Rugosa de divisa Bahia x Espírito Santo". The guy to discovered this calls it Eugenia sp Enrugada and until it is recognized by science I will call it by the name given by him, Eugenia sp Enrugada.
