Pouteria sp from Açailândia
Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a recently discovered Pouteria from Açailândia, found early this year (2023). The tree found was over 10 feet tall, and was covered in ripe yellow fruits. The fruits have a slightly ribbed, bumpy, thick skin, with a white sweet flesh. The fruits that were totally ripe, were sweet and juicy, with a great flavor similar to mixed nuts. The unripe fruits were still edible out of hand, but has latex when cracking open the skin. Seeds are very fresh, and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
