Seeds were imported from Brazil. Leaf base and apex narrowly attenuate, undersurface persistently sericeous with yellowish-buff indumentum. This tree grows to 25 m high and 50 cm diam. with fluted bole; bark greyish-white to greyish-brown, finely fissured; slash straw-colored, with scanty white latex; the silvery brown lower leaf surface is conspicuous; flowers sweetly scented, pale cream to greenish-white, fruit maturing yellowish to pale brown; flowering throughout the year, most mature fruit recorded Jan to Jun. The fruit is edible and sweet. This tree is very unique, by having a golden surface under the leaves. Seeds are viable, and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
