Seeds were imported from Brazil. Aguai guacu is a semi-deciduous to deciduous tree with a dense, wide crown growing from 10 - 15 meters tall. The short bole can be 40 - 50cm in diameter. The edible fruit is gathered from the wild and consumed locally. raw. The fruits contain 1 - 2 seeds surrounded by a fleshy, sweet-flavored pulp. The pear-shaped, orange-yellow fruits are about 6cm long by 4cm wide. These specific fruits were sourced from a tree in the southern most region of Brazil. This region has the coldest climates in Brazil. Seeds are viable and shipped in humid vermiculite.
