Chrysophllyum Arenarium

Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a small plant growing to only 3m tall. It should be a great species for container growers. It produces a small bright yellow berry with a smooth skin and oval shape. The collectors in Brazil say to eat the fruit only when they are super ripe and fall off the tree. The fruits, when eaten this way, are sweet and great for eating out of hand. It was found in Restinga do Nordeste. Seeds are germinating and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
