Artocarpus Anysophyllus - Entawak

Seeds were imported from Indonesia. Entawak is an evergreen mid-canopy tree; it can grow up to 45 meters tall. The straight, cylindrical bole can be up to 90cm in diameter with spreading buttresses up to 250cm high[359 , 899 ]. The edible fruit is greatly appreciated in the plant's native range, where it is often harvested from the wild and also occasionally cultivated. It is said to be delicious eaten out of hand. It has a bright orange flesh and a sweet flavor. The yellowish-brown, globose fruits are about 11cm long and 8cm in diameter, the spiny shell being filled with many seeds in a yellow orange flesh. Seeds are shipped in humid vermiculite.
