Seeds where imported from Brazil. This is an ultra rare Eugenia species recently discovered in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. It is a tall tree, and very ornamental, either for the beauty of its foliage, or for its intense rust-red trunk. Each fruit contains a single seed. Unlike the regular Multicostata, this trees fruit ripens to a yellow-orange, sided like a giant pitanga, with a very pleasant flavor. This is not to get confused with the Multicostata var “octocostata”, it is totally different. The fruit is consumed raw, or in the form of juices, jellies and ice cream. This tree was first discovered in Brazil only 2 years ago, and this is the first time this specie has been imported into the USA.

We can ship up to five 4x4x6 containers for $15 total. For this specie you can get 1 or 2 plants in one 4x4x6 Container. If you get multiple plants, I would recommend separating them and potting them up as soon as you receive them. We are putting multiple plants in the pots to save you on shipping costs.
